Refund Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This Refund Policy explains when you can request a refund for a Memorize subscription, how to ask for one, and how long it takes. This is a template and should be reviewed by legal counsel before publication.
Try the free plan first
Memorize has a Free plan with no time limit and no card required, so you can test the study modes and spaced repetition before paying for anything. We recommend using it before you subscribe to a paid plan.
Cancelling is not the same as a refund
Cancelling stops the next charge and keeps your access until the end of the period you already paid for. A refund returns money that has already been charged. You can cancel at any time in the app, and cancelling on its own does not trigger a refund.
When you can request a refund
You can request a full refund within 7 days of the charge for a subscription bought on our website. If the law where you live gives you a longer withdrawal period — for example the 14 days in the European Union and the United Kingdom — the longer period applies.
How to request one
Send your request to the support email listed on our Contact page, using the same email address as your Memorize account. Tell us the date of the charge and, if you like, the reason — feedback helps us improve, but it is not required within the withdrawal period.
How long it takes and how the money comes back
We review refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds go back to the payment method used for the purchase, through our payment provider. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the amount can take up to 10 more business days to appear on your statement.
Automatic renewals
Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. If you do not want to continue, cancel before the renewal date. If an automatic renewal took you by surprise, contact us within 7 days of the charge and we will look into it.
Purchases made through app stores
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the refund is handled by Apple or Google under their own policies and we cannot process it for you. In that case, request it directly from the store where you paid.
When a refund may be declined
We may decline requests made after the applicable period, or where there are signs of abuse — such as repeated subscribe-and-refund cycles on the same account. This does not affect the rights that the consumer law of your country gives you.
